Welcome to the website of the Szent Ágota Child Protection Service. It is an honor that you are interested in one of the largest child protection institutional systems in Hungary.

Our organization was founded in 2011 by Dr. László Kiss Rigó, the bishop of Szeged – Csanád Diocese. Our service is not only a legal organization but also a community with a Christian approach.

On this website, you can find everything about how we take care of the children in need and those who must be taken from their families: we present our group homes, foster parents’ networks. We show our professional, methodological, and pastoral activities. We report on the hundreds of programs we organize in the entire field of care in the name of our pedagogical therapy system, KÁSZPEM. We show you how the village called ÁGOTA Falva is being built and beautified. After two and a half decades, the children in care can have summer camps in this village, which provides many other opportunities for us to heal their spiritual wounds.

Children in need are given back their image of trust by the enthusiasm of our more than three thousand colleagues. It brings hope to a place, where vulnerability is the lord.

Among our colleagues there are foster parents, group home educators, there are special education teachers, psychologists, pastoral support providers, caretakers, office clerks, teachers, social workers, therapists. They have in common the will to do, determination, and commitment in helping these children with the power of love.

Spending more than half a century in child care (as a child in need, later as an expert and director) I can say that the history of ÁGOTA is about the grace of God.
